Chile – The Menly Mog (Menly and Catmac)
A true powerhouse. This time can rightly lay claim to being the heavy favourites in Group D. 2 regular posters who are always on hand for advice and (in Menly’s case) jokes. The 3rd of the South American top seeds will feel confident of progressing through to the quarter-finals. It will take an epic performance of luck, differentials and downright skullduggery to overcome this awesome pair. I expect them to advance comfortably before dishing out a lesson to some bloke known as Mull.
Prediction – 1st
Australia – Insane Ukraine (Shipstontrev and Bal4tom)
A strong pair, but the record of trev in the FFS Europa League does not fill one with any confidence as to their chances this time around. They also face some stiff oppostion, who we’ll get to later. Though I anticipate a close run contest I expect an early exit for this pair, bouncing out in the first round. If they can muster a good run they could go a long way, but I don’t forsee that happening.

USA – Goldngarg (Goldstonemr and Gargamel)
A decent team here featuring a highly respected poster in the shape of Gargamel. That being said I don’t feel this team is strong enough to make progress in this group. It could be a real struggle for them to make an impression in a group with 2 outstanding pairs. I would argue this is the real life group C of the friendly world cup, with this pair being Ireland. May be tough to beat but with very little expected of them other than an early exit, but capable of springing a surprise if underestimated.

Argentina – The Candian Jelavic (Candian Football and Archie)
A very powerful team this Argentine/Croatian/Candian axis team can rightly expect to be highly fancied in this competition. Canadian Football will be hoping to transfer his FPL form to this contest, whilst Archie will hope to follow his beloved Liverpool into the Euros. The team name implies that much faith has been placed in Nikica Jelavic, but with a price tag of just 5.0 he represents a risk well worth taking. This team could do very well in this tournament.
Prediction – 1st
Ivory Coast – The Mull Boson (Mull and The Giggs Boson)
The Giggs Boson really should be more careful over who teams up with. Mull has a nasty habit of ruining perfectly good European campaigns. He may win a few matches, but when he loses he loses badly (a -100 gd anyone?). That being said this is still a strong team who will feel confident of progressing to the knockout stages. Mull offers a team packed with differentials and the Giggs Boson offers a decent nous for picking the right player that will make this team difficult to beat. That being said I still feel 2nd place might be all they can hope for.
Prediction – 2nd

How they met – an office romance, the pair cumming together at UEFA HQ.
The Team
Fears of corruption are swirling around Group C, with both managers being onboard the UEFA committee a close eye will need to be kept on the scores recorded in this group.
The pairing had mixed Champions League campaigns, with TW finishing bottom in the ‘Group of Death’ while Pratik made it to the quarters before being eliminated by runner up Fratboy. They will be looking to use the experience gained from the elite European club competition to make an impact in the Euros. With Croatia co-manager TommyTour one of the teams to progress at TW’s expense, the matchday 3 fixture is already looking like a grudge match.

Brazil – The Glory Hunters (Forca Inter and Epic Fail)
Now this a big hitting team. 2 very well known and highly popular members have paired up to form a positively awesome team. 2 high ranking FPL players make a formidable proposition.But this is by far the toughest group of the lot, made up of 4 very tough teams. Could Forca Inter’s knowledge of Croatia provide that extra differential that may push them over the line. Has he hidden away a gem? Epic offers his own brand of enthusiasm and many may be hoping for a repeat of his now legendary press conference. Will this team strike up a Samba Beat, or will Epic Fail’s name prove to be an apt one?
Prediction – 2nd.
Mexico – The Abominable Stalkers (Sleep Talk and Snowy 84)
Another very good pairing. This pair will be very tough to beat and will head in to the competition high on confidence. They are frequent visitors to the FFS boards and always have plenty to offer other posters. But, are they too, holding something back, trying to keep that little differential that could make the difference. I forsee a strong showing from this pair that could see the waving down at the rest from atop the group

Uruguay – Brendan Ferguson? FFS (Empeikal and 4Vets)
This duo is strangely seeded 1st in Group A and so will surely feel confident as they enter the tournament as favourites to advance. However, recent history has shown that can often count for very little. Nonetheless these 2 FFS regulars could easily be a force to be reckoned with, provided Vets can overcome his age related issues and remember to change his team every day. This pair should not be underestimated and will enter the competition feeling confident. The Uruguayans will rely on wood, hands and buck-teeth to see them through, though they may wish to stay away from the racism.

Switzerland – Ozil’s Ceching In (James_Fitz and JKisthe1)
This duo offers much promise as a Swirish team. Unlucky not to gain entry in the main Euro competition this pair will fancy their chances. JK placed inside the top 4k in this seasons FPL whilst James-Fitz took some valuable lessons away from his first season. A team already working like clock-work JFK head into the tournament on a high. The Swiss are notoriously hard to break down and have recently found a scoring touch. This bodes well for the tournament.
